I'm not sure when Bauer decided he could be a daredevil but he is certainly one in training! He is testing our nerves right now. He has been doing a whole lot of this here lately.

He is pulling, climbing, and trying to slide down every piece of furniture we own. As we stand watching him, we can see him plotting his next trick, wondering if he can make a quick dash before we can catch him. He is always determined to climb down on his own without any help from Mommy or Daddy. We are amazed at his abilities and proud of our little independent boy, yet so sad when we think of how very fast he is growing!

Hodgepodge

It has been a long while since my last post, so I want to catch everyone up on what Bauer has been up to these days...and trust me...it's A LOT!!! He is a busy little beaver!! He is into EVERYTHING! He loves to play wherever he can make the biggest mess. Ha!

He loves to help his daddy out around the house, especially if there are tools involved. He's daddy's little sidekick but....

he will always be Mommy's boy!

Bauer loves the great outdoors! He doesn't mind if the thermometer is reading in the mid 90's and the humidity is miserably high...he still wants to be outdoors!

Since he likes being outside we have been trying to stay cool by letting him play in the water. For some reason or another, he especially likes to drink out of the garden hose.

When he is not playing outside or in the water he loves to play ball. Just look at how he is already trying to perfect his shot.

We took Bauer to get his first hair cut right around his first birthday. He was starting to look a little rough around the edges and we thought he needed a "cool" cut for the summertime. He did a great job while the lady at the salon gave him a fresh cut. I love his new big boy cut!

Bauer loves to try new foods! He is curious and wants to taste just about everything he sees us eating. His lastest tasting are Japanese rice and Hot Crab Dip. He loves them both. Now, I guess when we order Hot Crab Dip for two, dad has to share with one more, and trust me, he doesn't share his Hot Crab Dip too nicely. Ha!

1 Year Portraits

We took Bauer to have his 1 year pictures made this past Saturday. Did I just say 1 year?!? How can it be possible that my baby is already 1 year old?!? He is growing way too fast!

Let me just start by saying that Bauer gave the poor photographer a workout. Well, that's putting it mildly. Now that he is mobile, it is a challenge to keep him still long enough to capture a picture. I believe the photographer tried every trick that she could possibly think of with Bauer but nothing worked for very long. Let's just say he is a very curious one year old who is 100% boy. It is a good thing the boy knows how to charm the ladies or I am afraid the photographer would have been ready to hurry us right out of the door. Instead she just adored Bauer's sweet smile and lovable personality and was really patient with Bauer. She captured some really great pictures of Bauer. Settle and I even jumped in on a couple of the pictures with Bauer, which we really hadn't plan to do, but I am glad we did because we needed an updated family picture. I am posting some of my favorite pictures for you to enjoy.

Bauer's First Birthday

Welcome to Bauer's 1st Barnyard Birthday Party!!!!! What a perfect day for a party! Thank you to all of our family and friends who came and celebrated this special day with us!
