Griffin- 4 Months

Griffin,

You are four months now.  You are growing like a weed!  We took you for your four month well check up today and the doctor was amazed at your growth over the past two months.  I now look back at newborn pictures of you and find it hard to believe you were ever that small.

Now you are an active baby!  You are officially done with laying down unless you're asleep. You want to be sitting up so that you can see everything that is going on.  I'm guessing that is why you love to be in your exersaucer so much now.  You have started sticking your bottom up in the air with your knees underneath and scooting yourself around on the floor.  You have discovered your feet and you are trying hard to get them into your mouth.  You are laughing now. Your laugh is so darn cute but sometimes you make me act like a complete fool to get it out of you.  Ha!

I seriously could go on forever talking about all of your abilities and how precious you are to me.  I am so proud of you!  For four months, our days have been non-stop, but so much better and brighter because you are in it.  I love you, Griff!

4 Month Stats:

Fun at the Museum

A visit to the Wilmington Children's Museum is always a real treat!

We visited the museum a couple of weeks back when the temperature reached a miserable 100+ degrees in Wilmington and it was way too hot to think of doing anything outdoors. We made a day of it playing inside the museum. Thank you lord for air conditioning!

Bauer had a blast playing and Griffin was content observing all the children at play.  Having two happy boys made Mommy and Daddy very happy parents, plus the fact that we didn't have to be outdoors in the scorching heat.

Griffin Reid- 3 Months

Dear Griffin,

You are growing way too fast!  I just want to bottle you up right now and keep you at this age for a bit longer.  You continue to be a sweet, happy baby. You smile and squeal with joy pretty much all the time.

You really adore your brother right now.  When you see him your face lights up and you grin and kick your legs and move your arms with excitement.  Your brother adores you too.  While I am trying to figure out a way to keep you my little baby forever, your brother is trying to figure out a way to get you to grow even faster than you already are.  He is all kinds of excited about having a buddy to play with around the house.  I'm afraid he may feel differently about you when you start taking his toys. Ha!

You are really at the stage where you are doing new things all the time. You are bringing your hands together and putting them in your mouth.  You are grabbing at toys and putting them in your mouth.  You no longer want to lay on your back anymore now that you have mastered rolling from your back to your belly.  You are a strong, little guy and you are constantly moving your arms and legs in crawling motion like you are ready to get up and go.  You love to be in front of a mirror. You squeal and laugh every time you see the baby looking at you.  This is by far the cutest thing ever.

It's so much fun watching you grow each day, Griff!  My sweet baby, I couldn't imagine life without you.

Love,

Mommy
