We took a day trip to Myrtle Beach yesterday. We did some shopping at the mall and outlets, ate some delicious food and did a whole lot of playing, too. There's so much to see and do in the Grand Strand area that it is impossible to accomplish everything you want to, especially in one day. We definitely plan on taking another trip back over the summer to take Bauer to Ripley's Aquarium & Alligator Adventure. I can't wait!
We ended up spending a large majority of our time at Broadway at the Beach. There we enjoyed Jimmy Buffet's Margaritteville for dinner before heading over to the Build-A-Bear Workshop to let Bauer build his very own teddy bear. He picked out a new furry friend and then he helped stuff it, stitch it, wash it, fluff it and lastly dress it. Bauer loved the Build-A-Bear Workshop. He especially loved pretending that he was bathing his bear and fluffing its fur.
And, of course no trip is complete to Myrtle Beach without a few amusement park rides. We let Bauer choose a couple of rides to go on. I was completely surprised that he wasn't terrified of the rides. He wasn't the least bit scared. The faster the ride went the more he liked it. That is my boy! It looks like I am going to have a partner to ride roller coaster rides with me in the future while Daddy warms the benches in the park. ;)
We all had a fun-filled Saturday! Settle and I both felt like kids watching Bauer have fun. Seeing the excitement in his eyes was priceless.
